Last month we talked about other countries, so here are more traditions from all over the world:

The Maioris in New Zealand do rub their noses to express their will to stay together. Iike the escimos, only that they do this each time for greeting.

In Israel they get a silk shawl and put glasses on it. When they are tramped down it reminds of the destruction of the temple in ancient times. In the Philippines all guests pin money on the dancing bride. Quite similar to Austria where the bride is collecting money with the so called “Schleiertanz”.

For a persian ceremony there is a table filled with lots of sweet and golden stuff. This table is called “Sofreh”. After having said yes, the bride and groom do feed each other with the honey.

In Sudan the brides mother does hand over flowers to the groom, that means he is accepted as son in his new family.
The white color stand for sadness in China, so all brides wear red bridal dresses. On top, there is no wedding without masses of firecrackers. The louder the wedding is the happier will be the newly wed couple.

In Denmark guest do cut wholes in the socks of the groom. That means he is no longer worth for other ladies.
A fat cigar, smoked by the groom, means lots of children in Kuba.
